Elderberry Syrup is used widely for immune support and is full of antioxidants! This home-brewed elderberry syrup if full of warm spices that are also great for immunity boosting and kicking colds where they stand.
These jars of Elderberry Syrup are canned in a hot water bath, making them shelf stable until you are ready to open and use. To ensure that the healing properties of the honey are not lost, the honey is not canned with the syrup, but comes in it's very own jar. I purchase Raw Honey from a wonderful local bee farmer.
Once the jar of elderberry syrup is opened, it needs to be refridgerated. It is good in the refridgerator for roughly 3-6 weeks (please check regularly once it gets close to a month old!)
Elderberry Syrup 8oz
Dried Elderberries (Sambucus nigra)*, ground ginger*, ground cinnamon*, whole cloves*, local raw honey (add after can is opened)
* Indicates organic
Children: 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp
Adults: 1/2 tbsp - 1 tbsp
Increase up to 4 times a day with the onset of cold or flu symptoms.
To boost immunity, it is recommended to take only 4 or 5 days consecutively and then take a break, repeat if needed. This helps avoid lessening the effectiveness of the immunity boosting properties.
